Bad. January 6, 2009 Bought this for on the go and emergencies. The strap is too short, and I'm only 5'4". It barely reaches my waist, so I can't put this on and have it slung on the opposite side of my shoulder. There is no padding on straps, so it is painful to have it for long periods of time. The compartments are helpful, but since it is not sewn to the bottom, some of your stuff could get into other compartments.A bit crude for the price and a huge rip off.
Cheap, Durable, and Comfortable October 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I don't know how those three things can even be in the same sentence, but it's true. Great as a laptop bag, perfect fit for my 15.1". I use it to carry my laptop, peripherals, utensils, notebooks, and my lunch. It all its just fine, and doesn't hurt my shoulder or anything. There's also 3 compartments to sort in. be careful, though, because they're not sewn separate. At the bottom of all three compartments there's a small opening that connects all three, like a slit. It's a good thing, though, it helps the bag keep its form.
It's a fantastic bag for the price. If you're on the fence, just buy it.
OK Bag, Time will tell. October 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I recently got this bag and right away noticed the material was much lighter than I had expected. If you want a heavy (military) grade canvas this is not it. It looks nice though, is light and works well for me so far; time will tell as to whether it holds up.
As another reviewer stated the strap is way to short. I'm wide rather than tall and when I wore this cross body the bag was practically up in my pit. So I bought one of these leather shoulder straps --[...] - The extra long 72" version. It actually cost more than the bag, but it works great and makes the bag look much cooler than it did with the original strap. And if the bag doesn't hold up I can always put the strap on a new bag. We'll see.
Mediocre at Best September 26, 2008 Started out well, then about three weeks into using it, the sides ripped. This bag cannot hold up the stress of carrying a macbook pro, an organic chemistry book, and two 0.5" binders. Honestly, it's a good bag if you don't carry very much with you, but otherwise, this bag seriously blows for school usage.
Good investment? Yes.. September 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just got my bag today and yes i do love it. It has dividers, its light, and stylish. And yes my name is Jack, and i've already got about 50 comments about that lol. Anyway this bag is great to have for books and things that are for school and that type of deal. The cons of having this bag is that the strap is really thin, so heavy items can be put in there but i wouldn't suggest for a long period of time. I did reinforce it with my friends stitching and used a Khaki guitar strap which makes it extremely durable now. A little modification and it seems to hold my laptop and 30+ lbs worth of notebooks and books. I do suggest getting this bag if you like the convenient side pouch with pen/pencil holders, and a pocket to put smaller type documents in or even to just put the pen/pencils in. It has the dividers which makes it 3 slots to organize with, and the buttons on the front help lock down the smaller flap to keep those smaller items in there without losing them. The bigger flap has an optional clip so if your bag falls, you still have all the items still in the dividers. A lot of my friends also grabbed this bag and use it for misc things like; camping, first aid kit, etc etc. There are just to many things that you can do with this bag, i just can't list them all. Its fairly big and roomy for whatever you need to use with this bag. If you want a satchel type bag like this, i suggest going with this one. yeah it may need a reinforcement of some sort for the strap, but after that is done, i think this bag will last a absolute long time. Thanks Rothco!
The laptop has an 18" screen, and it slides in there like butter and fits just right.
